A special talk by local historian Jef Page, entitled ‘Protest, Riots and Rebellion in Ilford and Essex’ at the Fullwell Cross Library in Redbridge. During this event, Jef will look at riots, protests and rebellion through the centuries in the local area: Boudicca, the Peasant’s revolt, the London Corresponding Society radicals, the reading of the Riot Act in Ilford, arson attacks on Essex farms and Captain Swing.
